The Louisiana Department of Economic Development contracted with Technology Engineers to re-develop their tax incentive management system after the previous contractor left them with a flawed system. With the old system the administrator of the Industrial Tax Exemption program capped the number of applications going to the board for approval to 100, leaving many waiting two months or longer for the next board meeting. While this was an improvement over the paper system, the only thing limiting the number of applications going to the board is the number of applications they receive.
